E. Johnson's 998 Vincent-powered kneeler, crewed by E. Parkin, on the Curborough Twisty Sprint startline. Gearbox is a Vincent. Long-leadinglink front forks mount a disc brake. Suspension units are Girling. The Stevenage backbone and oiltank are dispensed with.

Travelling marshal Dave Bishop airs his Series D Rapide at Curborough. The bright red finish is non-standard. Not many D's were made in non-enclosed form. Launch season was 1954. A centre stand with Rudge-type easylift handle is normal.
