Three Comets at the Cadwell hairpin. Peter Campbell (1951, 14) and Peter Biles (1952, 3) prefer the tight line inside while Les Irvine (1950, 8) goes for the wide swing. All are series C type with the hydraulically-damped girders, hence the Stevenage-coined description of Girdraulics.

Tim Kingham with a racing-class entry of a 1952 Comet with fully-cantilever seat and a Gold Star-type 190-mm front brake. Gearbox used on the postwar Comet was a grease-and-oil 4-speed Burman.
